DESCRIPTION:\n\n4th Meeting of TESOL-Italy and TESOL-Ukraine Join Project “Sharing Context Between Cultures”\n\n\nTIME: May 12th 2022\, 7.00 pm (Ukrainian time)\nTitle: ESP in Ukrainian Universities: Experiences\, Challenges\, Perspectives\nZoom link to the session: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/8575070872?pwd=N21TNnNDNjRYMkFYSEdIdXViMzE3dz09\nPresenter: Iryna Zuyenok\, Associate professor at FLD\, Dnipro University of Technology\n Abstract:\nIn this webinar participants will learn how ESP teaching and learning are organized in Ukrainian Universities: the National ESP Curriculum\, Syllabus design\, the role of the courses in internationalization of country’s higher education\, and become aware of the obligatory ESP Courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students\, the concepts they are based on\, their content and the materials used and designed.\n  Presenter's biodata:\nTESOL-Ukraine member Iryna Zuyenok is an Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages\, Dnipro University of Technology.\nShe is a Director of the University Linguistic Centre\, Senior examiner of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center of Quality Assurance in Education\, Facilitator of  Open Teachers’ Community (OCT) of Ukraine ESP teachers on TeachingEnglish  platform and in Regional English Learning Hub “DniproTECH”\, e-moderator of CPD courses. \nShe has a Postgraduate Certificate in Trainer Development (ELT) awarded by the University of Exeter (Great Britain)\, she has undergone special trainings in ESP Curriculum and Syllabus Development\, ESP course design\, ESP Methodology and Information Technology for ELT in the College of St Mark and St John now known as Plymouth Marjon University (Great Britain). For more than 20 years she has participated in various British Council in Ukraine projects for Ukrainian Universities and numerous CPD courses in teacher training\, EAP and ESP.\nIryna has nearly 30-year teaching experience at the University and 10 years of experience in translating documents while working as a designing engineer and patent attorney assistant.\n\n
