DESCRIPTION:TESOL-Ukraine goes online and announces summer sessions for our members.\n\n\n\nSession 2\n\n\nWorkshop  “Teaching with TubeQuizard - a Website for Creating Quizzes Based on YouTube Videos ”  with Olha Lysak\n\nSummary: During the presentation the attendees will learn to work with TubeQuizard\, which is a website for creating quizzes based on YouTube videos. It can be used for developing of listening skills and pronunciation\, working with grammar in context. By the end of the workshop\, the attendees will create their own \n\nAbstract: I would like to present TubeQuizard resource\, which is a website for creating quizzes based on YouTube videos. It can be used for the development of listening skills and pronunciation\, working with grammar in context. Furthermore\, authentic videos give students a unique opportunity to practise listening to the features of connected speech\, which textbooks usually lack. First\, I will give the overview of the site and its sections. Then I am going to ask teachers to do one quiz\, where they'll have to watch a video and fill the gaps in the worksheet. After that\, the participants will learn how to search for ready-made quizzes and create new ones. The final product will be a new quiz with at least 5 instances of Present Perfect based on the video no longer than 5 minutes.\n\nDate: June 25\, 2020\, from 1 to 3 p.m.\n\nTime: Session 1 – from 1 p.m. to  2 p.m. (workshop by Olha Lysak)\n\nSession 2 – from 2 to 3 p.m. (short talks/presentations of the participants (5-7 min.)\n\nPlatform: Zoom\n\nNumber of Participants: 15\n\nNOTE: Participants will be required to share their experience in online teaching (any topic you find interesting)\n\nRegistration: https://forms.gle/R6f35WbtcmAbHSeSA\n\nDeadline: June 22\n\nAll participants will get online certificates for 4 academic hours.\n\nFee: free\, for TESOL-Ukraine members only\n\n
