Abstract: Pretty much everybody has heard of Harry. The fun thing about reading and writing about this book is that students usually know the story and then slot in the vocabulary and narrative into what they know. It has short chapters, a wealth of descriptive vocabulary and an exciting, fast-paced story. Using summaries, vocabulary logs, and narrative structure analysis as well as discussing the big themes: loss, grief, friendship, bravery, loyalty and love seem to be quite fitting at the moment. Most of all though, it’s fun!
