We are thrilled to announce the TESOL-Ukraine Winter Symposium, a highly focused, two-day event designed to move beyond theory and solidify practical classroom implementation.
Following the success of our “Digging Deeper!” Fall Course, this Symposium provides a unique opportunity to interact directly with four top American practitioners and experts on applying high-impact methodologies to the Ukrainian context.
The Gift of Membership: Join the Community for FREE!
To welcome new educators, all non-members who attend and participate in the Winter Symposium sessions will receive a FREE TESOL-Ukraine Membership for 2026! This is your best chance to gain high-value training and join a dynamic professional network committed to ELT excellence.
From Theory to Action: What You Will Experience
Moderated by Lucia Shelley, PhD, the Symposium is structured for maximum relevance and minimal time commitment (105 minutes per day). Each session will focus on the practical implementation of the “gems” found in the Fall course, including:
| Focus Area | Description | |
| Implementation Lab: Getting Started | High-impact workshops on translating theory into immediate classroom success, focusing on quick checks and maximizing student interaction using the SIOP Model. | |
| Quick Checks & Data | Practical, low-prep methods for effective Formative Assessment and using Quantitative Data for differentiation, ensuring you know exactly where your students are. | |
| Engaging All Skills | Strategies for boosting confidence and proficiency using tools like the Color Vowel Chart and the four components of the CAFE Literacy System. | |
| Project Design | Showcasing simple, engaging, and low-prep ideas for Project-Based Learning (PBL) and utilizing creative techniques like Picturing Writing in the new year. |
