Abstract: When learning about gerunds (verb-ing; “hate going”) and infinitives (to verb; “want to go”), many English students fear the long list of verbs that just have to be memorized. There is no need to fear! Students can learn a quick method to help them accurately guess whether a verb is followed by a gerund or an infinitive. In this workshop, you will learn about the Bolinger Principle. This principle can remove some of the stress students feel from studying English.
