From January 9 to April 10, 2025, TESOL-Ukraine members had the invaluable opportunity to participate in the Positive Influence at Work course, facilitated by the renowned communication expert Mark Powell. This extensive training program, consisting of weekly webinars over a period of three months, provided participants with practical insights into effective communication and leadership within educational and professional settings.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the course organizers: Lyudmyla Hnapovska (Sumy State University) and Julia Klymovych (Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University). Their exceptional efforts in coordinating and moderating the training sessions made it possible for TESOL-Ukraine members to engage in high-quality professional development.
We also wish to express our deepest appreciation to Mark Powell for his outstanding contribution. His energy, insight, and sense of humor greatly enriched the learning experience, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. Mark Powell’s approach demonstrated that positive influence is not solely about assertiveness, but about being clear, thoughtful, and genuinely impactful. His ability to blend expert knowledge with practical strategies made the course both informative and inspirational.
During the final session, participants came together to reflect on the transformative nature of the course, sharing how the concepts learned have positively influenced their teaching practices and professional interactions.
