The “SPEAK!” Symposium, hosted by TESOL-Ukraine, has been a powerful two-day journey of professional renewal and international collaboration. Across both days, educators from across Ukraine and the globe gathered to share tools that move beyond traditional teaching, focusing on resilience and innovation.
🌟 Day 1: Laying the Foundation
The first day of the symposium focused on setting the stage for communication and leadership in the modern ELT landscape.
-
Opening Inspiration: The event began with welcoming remarks that emphasized the vital role of English language educators in Ukraine’s global integration.
-
Strategic Teaching: Sessions focused on the “Why” behind our pedagogy, encouraging teachers to reflect on their personal mission and the impact they have on their students’ lives.
-
Building Connections: Participants engaged in initial networking, establishing a community of support that would carry through the entire event.
🚀 Day 2: Tools, Art, and Action
Day 2 shifted into high gear with a dense schedule of practical workshops and expert-led sessions.
-
Management & Evaluation: Dr. Jeff Fastnacht and Amanda Meier provided a roadmap for classroom excellence through effective evaluation and management strategies. https://youtu.be/y1D9T4hxAnY
